Palladium and FarSounder unite

Palladium has formed a partnership with FarSounder for the use of its 3D underwater sonar systems for navigation and obstacle avoidance. The new SiMon Gold system, which was debuted last week, comprises user-interface multi-touch LCDs for alarms, monitoring, control, security (HD cameras and driving detection sonar) and engineering document control.

Michael Blake, president, Palladium Technologies, told The Motorship: “Farsounder is one of the manufacturers that we have integrated into our system, which also includes the equipment for night navigation and security from the current corporation. Our system continues to monitor and control all of the other critical systems onboard, such as engines, generators and electrical.”

He added: “The reception we received at the Monaco Yacht Show was exceptional and we are currently working with a number of major mega-yacht builders for the installation of our SiMon Gold, from 45m to 130m.”

With the integration of systems, SiMon Gold will provide detection, classification and alarms of underwater threats, and is claimed to ensure maximum safety.
