Polish bulk carrier order for Hamworthy KSE

Hamworthy KSE is supplying sewage handling systems for seven open-hatch bulk carriers to be constructed at Stocznia Gdynia for US-based forest product company Westwood Shipping Lines. The 44,000g vessels are replacements for Westwood?s current carriers, and are designed to carry containers as well as timber and paper products. Hamworthy KSE will supply its ST3A waste treatment plant which employs an extended aeration biological process, together with a vacuum system with 42 toilets for each vessel. Deliveries are scheduled to run throughout 2002. Delivery of the first carrier is scheduled for the first quarter of 2002.
