Portosalvo orders Aker PSV

Aker Yards has entered into a contract with Portosalvo Ltd. for the building of one 4,800 DWT Platform Supply Vessel based on the design Aker PSV 09 CD. The value of the contract is approximately $53.5 million and delivery is scheduled in 4Q 2010. Portosalvo, a UK based subsidiary of the Rimorchiatori Napoletani Group, also has an option for one more identical vessel.

The 86.6 metre long, 19 metre wide vessel will be equipped with dynamic positioning, diesel electric propulsion and will have the class notation Clean Design.

The hull for the newbuilding will be built at Aker Yards in Romania and outfitted at Aker Yards in Norway.

Aker Yards has built two vessels for Portosalvo, the last one having been delivered in 2002.
