PowerCell fuel cell system on show at expo

The new MS-100 is 30% more compact, more robust and with increased operating time. It has been developed for marine applications and off-road applications such as construction and material handling equipment which demand reliable operation, high power output and flexibility.

The Fuel Cell Seminar & Energy Exposition began in 1976. Attracting an international audience, the show features the latest fuel cell and hydrogen products, technical and market research, policy updates, and commercialisation strategies.

Powercell chief executive, Per Wassén, will be one of the keynote speakers. ”North America is already one of our most important markets and has a great future potential, particularly in states with a strong focus on sustainability such as California,” he said. ”To be there and to be seen and heard is crucial for our continued growth in North America.”

The MS-100 is designed to withstand vibrations and offers a maximum power output of 100 kW. By connecting systems in series, it’s possible to reach megawatt power levels. The system is based on the PowerCell S3 fuel cell stack which features metallic bipolar plates and membrane electrode assembly to deliver a minimum operating lifetime of 20,000 hours.

With a volume of 276 litres, MS-100 is available in both vertical and horizontal positioning.
