QM2 to visit B+V for interior refit

The ship, launched in January 2004, is scheduled to visit the yard on 24 November and to leave on 7 December. The refit is being organised by Tillberg Design, the company responsible for the ship’s original interior design.

The details of the refit announced by Cunard cover refurbishment of all staterooms and many of the other public spaces, including restaurants, bars and the spa. Carpeting to Decks 2 and 3, which was begun at the last refit at Blohm & Voss in 2008, is to be completed. No information was available about any work planned to the ship’s machinery or non-hotel equipment.
