Queen won?t smoke

All four of the diesel engines on Cunard Line?s Queen Mary 2 will have smokeless common-rail fuel injection technology fitted. With the remainder of the ship?s power coming from two gas turbines, the ship should be able to operate without emitting visible smoke at all times. Wärtsilä plans to ship the four 16V46 common-rail EnviroEngines to Alstom Chantiers de L?Atlantique in St Nazaire, France in June 2002.
