A free voucher which entitles the bearer to one free place on the MV500 course at Alstom?s ALSPA Academy in Rugby is included with every ALSPA MV500 inverter, the company?s AC variable-speed drive. The MV500 comes in four frame sizes and with power ratings from 0.25 to 15kW.

The one-day course takes in basic AC drive theory, commissioning and trip recognition through to programming and the use of I/O for control referencing and display purposes, says the company. A number of operational training rigs are provided which are used to simulate set-ups and faults similar to those found in delegate?s own plants. On completion of the training course, delegates receive a certificate of competence.
