RCL orders two feeders

Regional Container Lines in Bangkok, Thailand, has ordered two 1,108 TEU box ships from the Chinese shipbuilder, Jiangsu Eastern Shipyard, at a cost of $24.5 million each. They will have a service speed of 19.3 knots and will be delivered in June 2007.

At present, RCL owns and operates 36 container vessels covering more than 70 destinations in Asia, Australasia and the Middle East.
