Remote control without wires
It is now possible to communicate from a PC via wireless WLNDS24 Wi-Lan modem to Amot Controls’ Hawk-l control unit which, like the modem, is designed to withstand arduous industrial applications and extreme weather conditions, says Amot Controls.
The company says operation over distances up to 2km is possible where range permits. In a typical application, a master PC will provide reports and graphs and collect data from remote equipment controlled by a Hawk-l unit. Using Amot’s HawkWin software, an application can simulate a compressor start-up sequence down loaded wirelessly to the controller, says the company.
