IBM’s advanced predictive analytics and real time reporting will give also give customers instant access to the “Big Data” within RightShip’s Ship Vetting Information System (SVIS) and a wealth of information.

A terminal will benefit from a more bespoke service and ensure physical vessel fit, while a ship owner can benchmark its fleet in real time with tremendous accuracy and access more insightful measurement techniques.”

In addition, banks and insurers will be able to integrate RightShip’s data with in-house systems to more precisely quantify risk.

The risk management system will be powered by IBM’s Cognos Business Intelligence and SPSS Predictive Analytics software, allowing maritime data to be analysed faster.

RightShip will also design and optimise the SVIS for smart phones and tablets.

The SVIS is due to be launched in the first quarter of 2014.
