Rimorchiatori orders AHTS

The Genoa-based tug company, Rimorchiatori Riuniti, has ordered a AHTS vessel from Fincantieri for delivery in December 2007. The 3,000 DWT vessel is of a MOSS 424 design and will have a length of 75.65 m and a breadth moulded of 16.90 m. The contract includes an option for a sister ship.

Powered by four diesel engines with a total output of 11,610kW, the newbuilding will have a speed of 16.5 knots and a bollard pull of 180 tonnes. The vessel will be equipped with FIFI II system, DP 1, oil recovery system and special winches.
