Rivertrace monitors for Alfa Laval oily water separator
The Smart Bilge OCM uses ‘smart cell’ detector array technology developed by Rivertrace to analyst all three oil types (heavy fuel oil, diesel and emulsions) at the same time without needing recalibration. The monitor includes a manual cell cleaning device for routine maintenance to minimise optical cell fouling, a main cause of monitor malfunction and incorrect readings.
Mike Coomber, managing director, Rivertrace said: “We are really proud that our Smart Bilge has been selected to ensure compliance by one of the leading separator manufactures in the world. We look forward to a long-term working relationship where we can support Alfa Laval’s customer focused vision to deliver the highest quality and best value for their customers.”
Replacement calibrated measuring cells can be purchased to make replacing them onboard quicker. Rivertrace also offers check kits to demonstrate to port state control inspectors that the monitor is within factory calibration.
