Rolls-Royce receives OSV order from China

The £6 million order comes in addition to the order for two UT 755 LN vessels announced by Rolls-Royce in November for the same customer. There is a fourth option included in the contract.

The UT 755 PSVs are designed specifically for transporting solid and liquid cargo to and from offshore oil and gas platforms world wide. In addition to the design, Rolls-Royce will supply a range of onboard equipment, including main engines, propulsion system, thrusters, automation and control systems, deck machinery, bulk handling systems, rudders, steering gears and shaft generators.

The vessel is due for delivery in 2014.
