Ropax order for IHC Caland

IHC Caland in Holland has received an order for two ropax ferries from Bornholmstrafikken, Denmark, for its wholly owned subsidiary Merwede Shipyard. The total contract value amounts to $91.5 million.

The newbuildings will be delivered in April 2005 and, in order to meet the short delivery time, Merwede Shipyard had already commenced the design work back in February 2004. These orders are a welcome addition to the current order book.
