RR contemplates Singapore manufacturing base

Rolls-Royce Group PLC is considering setting up two plants in Singapore for the manufacturing of diesel engines and fuel cells. Rolls-Royce chief executive John Rose has said “We are in discussions about locating elements of manufacturing here.” He added “We hope to come to a conclusion on that within the next few months.”

Rolls-Royce’s expansion could mean that it will double its work force in Singapore to 1,750 over the next five years
