Saigon Shipmarin into newbuildings
The Saigon Shipbuilding and Maritime Industry Company (Saigon Shipmarin) is investing more than $17 million in their shipyard to enable the company to build ships of over 10,000 tonnes.
Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City-based shipbuilder is building a 15,000 tonne specialised barge for the Viet Nam – Russia Oil and Gas Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro). Since early this year, the yard has repaired 10 ships ranging between 2,000 and 27,000 tonnes.
