Scania launches new engines

The new 13-litre marine engines range from 400hp for continuous use up to 750hp for patrol craft use and comply with emission standards IMO Tier 2, EU Stage 3A and US Tier 2. Scania also launched a new type-approved instrumentation according to the standards of classification societies such as RINA, DNV, GL, ABS and LR.

For marine auxiliary use, the Scania 13-litre engine is designed to handle large step-load variations with short recovery time. The most powerful version achieves its maximum output of 426kW at 1,800 rpm.
