Schat-Harding buys Singapore lifeboat business

Schat-Harding, the world?s leading supplier of lifeboats and davits, has purchased the independent lifeboat servicing business of Singapore-based Lyttelton Marine.

David Bradley, Schat-Harding group after sales and service manager says, “Singapore is a key hub for both the shipping and offshore worlds. From there engineers can service equipment in its busy shipyards, or on rigs in neighbouring countries, and on the many ships which call at Singapore and its neighbouring ports. So Schat-Harding has invested in an enhanced centre there, by taking over the long-established independent lifeboat service business of Lyttelton Marine.”

The move boosts Schat-Harding?s direct service capability in Asia by adding eleven qualified engineers and new workshops to the global network. The engineers will all attend Schat-Harding?s training school in Norway to ensure they are fully familiar with Schat-Harding brands and the SHIELD system.
