Second Taiwanese port order for Transas

Transas Marine Pacific, in co-operation with its Taiwanese agent, Seven Seas Electronic, has received an order for another vessel traffic service (VTS) system in Taiwan, following the company?s installation of a Navi-Traffic system in the Port of Keelung in 1997. The system is for Ho-Ping, a private port on the north-east coast. Port construction works are nearing completion and the new port facilities are scheduled to begin operations in early 2002. The VTS system in Ho-Ping will be the Navi-Harbour 3000 incorporating S- and X-band radars, a double-screen operator workstation, synchronous multi-channel audio recorder PC and a customised VTS database server. The Transas Navi-Harbour is a commercial, off-the-shelf solution for vessel traffic monitoring in small and mid-size ports, says Transas. Navi-Harbour 3000 is an autonomous system providing the operator with control over the radar antenna and transceiver as well as radar processing and presentation. Transas VTS products feature sensor integration flexibility and can be interfaced with various brand radar sensors and transponder systems including UAIS, says Transas.
