SembCorp gets Nobel conversion jobs
SembCorp Marine in Singapore has agreed to convert and outfit two semi-submersible hulls for Noble Drilling of the US. No financial details were given, as SembMarine expects to finalise the contract by the third quarter of this year.
Delivery of the first hull, which left China last week and is under wet tow to Jurong Shipyard, is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2009. When completed, it will be able to accommodate 200 men and can drill to a total depth of 35,000 feet.
