Shtokman contract for Murmansk shipyard

The Sevmorput shipyard in Murmansk has signed a contract with the Vyborg Shipyard, one of Gazprom?s main contractors in the Shtokman project, to assemble the two platforms which will be used in the Shtokman project

The shipyard will join together the semisubmersible platform hull currently under construction in Vyborg, Russia, with the topside part of the platform which being constructed by the Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea. The assembling of the Shtokman platforms will take place in 2010. The shipyard will also be responsible for the construction of the two platforms? ice-protecting cone.
