Software includes distance tables

BP Marine has launched the latest version of its Port to Port voyage planning program based on the company`s own marine distance tables.

The company says that Port to Port makes voyage planning more accurate and economical. Users enter departure and destination ports from over 1,700 waypoints, canals or other ports they want to include in the voyage and the program will present the shortest distance.

The programme allows alternative routes to be evaluated, bunkering requirements to be calculated and ETA`s to be forecast. Port to Port operates under Microsoft Windows and is available on disk.
