Sovcomflot orders product carrier trio

Moscow-based Sovcomflot and Admiralty Shipyards have signed a contract for the construction of three 47,400 DWT product carriers which extends this series of product carriers to 9 vessels. The seventh and the eighth tankers will be delivered in 2007 and the delivery of the ninth vessel will take place in 2008.

The Sovcomflot Group initially signed contracts for the construction of six tankers, four of which are operating already. The fifth and the sixth hulls will be delivered this year.

In order to maintain high environmental standards, Sovcomflot has modified the design starting with the ?Torgovy Bridge? (the fourth vessel). This involves additional expenses related to technical improvement of vessels.
