STX achieves its annual new order target

STX Shipbuilding in South Korea received an order for two 47,400DWT product carriers from TMM (Grupo TMM S.A) in Mexico. Total contract price is $62 million and both will be delivered by July 2007. Ship particulars are 183m long and 32.2m wide with a depth of 19.1m. This is the first time that STX has secured a newbuilding contract from Mexico.
