STX Engine wins order for diesel engines

STX Engine has secured a 52.3 billion won ($45.3 million) order to supply eight diesel engines for Korea Coast Guard patrol ships. The deal with Hanjin Heavy Industries calls on STX Engine to deliver the engines by August 2011.

STX Engine is a unit of STX Corp., a holding company which also owns STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co., the nation’s fourth-largest shipbuilder.
