STX to build Chinese block factory

STX Group, a holding company of STX Shipbuilding, is considering constructing a ship block factory at Shandong, China, at a cost of $100 million. In addition, the Korean company will expand production capacity at its STX Enpaco?s China factory by investing $50 million by 2008. STX Enpaco manufactures core components for diesel engines, materials and marine equipment.
