Aker Brattvaag, a company in the Aker Yards Group, has signed a contract with Volstad Maritime AS, Alesund, Norway for outfitting of one ROV Survey/Supply vessel at Aker Langsten. The contract is worth approximately NOK 300 million and the newbuilding is scheduled for delivery in June 2005 and the work will start before Christmas 2004.

Peter Tennfjord, Senior Vice President at Aker Langsten says in a comment: “This contract implies that we avoid temporary lay-offs that were previously scheduled from December and into the first quarter of 2005.
