Survey ships opt for Converteam systems

The two 98.2m long ships, due for delivery in 2012, are being built by Tebma at its Malpe shipyard for Dutch geotechnical company Fugro.

Converteam is supplying equipment for the diesel-electric propulsion including C-series control systems, dual-redundant dynamic position systems and vessel control and automation equipment.

Converteam India will provide engineering and commercial support, drawing on the resources of Converteam in the UK to deliver the engineering and manufacturing effort.
