Svanehoj expands through Dutch acquisition

The deal, which completed on 1 July, is Svanehoj’s second acquisition of the year, following the purchase of Dutch pump service company H&K Services in May.

Based in Zwijndrecht, Henri Systems Holland designs and manufactures measurement and safety equipment for LNG and LPG vessels, including tank level gauges, overfill protection systems, high-level alarms and monitoring electronics. The company also provides installation, commissioning, maintenance, calibration, inspection and compliance services to customers around the world.

The acquisition will strengthen Svanehoj’s Tank Control Systems business by adding complementary LPG tank gauging technology, expanding capabilities for pressurised land-based installations and increasing its presence in the global aftermarket for cargo measurement and safety systems.

“Its product portfolio and deep expertise in LPG tank gauging complement our existing LNG capabilities and broaden our offering to gas carrier customers. At the same time, its extensive installed base provides a strong platform for expanding our service and aftermarket business.”

Svanehoj already carries out a significant proportion of service work on vessels equipped with Henri Systems technology, giving the company extensive experience of its products and customer base.

Larsen said integrating Henri Systems Holland into the business would strengthen support throughout customers’ operations. “This is not simply about adding a complementary product to our portfolio. The combination of Henri Systems’ products with our global service network will enable us to deliver greater value across the equipment lifecycle.”

Henri Systems Holland will continue operating from its Zwijndrecht headquarters while gradually aligning its activities with Svanehoj’s global organisation.
