The yard is part of Croatian shipbuilding group Uljanik, which operates two shipyards located in Rijeka and Pula, on the Adriatic Sea shore.

Under the plan, the two vessels are to be used to transport supplies of aphalt, oil and chemicals, Uljanik said in a filing to the Zagreb stock exchange (ZSE). Rijeka-based 3 Maj shipyard is scheduled to deliver the first tanker by the end of 2015, and the second one by the end of April 2016.

The amount of the latest contract was not disclosed by the Croatian group.

Uljanik says its order book includes a wide range of vessels. These include bulk carriers, truck and wagon carriers, and chemical and oil tankers, according to data released by the shipbuilder.

Based in Visby, Sweden, Wisby Tankers operates a fleet consisting of 15 vessels with an average age of less than five years. Wisby says these include ships of between 5,850dwt and 53,150dwt capacity.
