Taiwan owner orders local Capers
CSBC said that the final contract will likely be signed by the end of May. The two bulkers are scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of 2012 or thereafter. A spokesman of Chinese Maritime Transport said that the company’s fleet will increase to ten 200,000 dwt bulk carriers from the current six by the end of 2013.
CSBC, the only bulk carrier builder in Taiwan, said that its revenue in 2010 may drop 10% due to weak shipbuilding demand. Last year, its revenue was $991 million, down 12.5% year on year.
