Technip joins Jurong FPSO conversion

A shuttle tanker is being converted into an FPSO to be based in the Libra field, off Brazil, at a water depth of approximately 2,500m. Once completed, it will have a capacity of 50,000 barrels of oil per day and 4 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.

Technip’s operating centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will execute the contract which is scheduled for completion during the second semester of 2016.

It demonstrates the trust of our client in Technip’s technical strength and extensive knowledge in this kind of floating platform, having delivered some of the largest FPSO units in the world.”
