TMC supplies air system

Under the contract, TMC will manufacture and deliver 4 x 85kW marine compressors as well as 4 x RD600 air driers to both the “Global Class” vessels that MV WERFTEN is constructing at its yard in Wismar, Germany.

Per Kjellin, managing director of TMC, said: “Any equipment supplier to the maritime industries would be proud to deliver technology to what will be the world’s largest cruise ships in terms of passenger capacity. TMC is no different.”

At 204,000t and over 340m in length, the ships will be able to accommodate more than 5,000 passengers across 20 decks.

The ships are scheduled for delivery in 2020 and 2021.

The contract value is undisclosed.
