‘Rem Hrist’ on sea trials

Ordered by the Norwegian offshore operator Remøy Shipping, both X-bow vessels have been built together, starting with their keel laying on 1 September 2009, with yard number 288 Rem Hrist having just completed her sea trials.

Based on the Ulstein PX105 design, these 4,258dwt newbuildings are classed as large PSVs with approximately 1,000m2 cargo deck space. Measuring 88.8m long, 19m wide, they are well equipped

and

have some 136,000m of cable, 14-15,000m of piping

and

a complicated cargo system with multi-cargo tanks for liquids

and

solid materials.

Both

Rem Hrist

and

Rem Mist

will work on eight-year contracts for Statoil in the North Sea.
