Two support vessels for Abu Dhabi shipbuilder

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), a UAE company and one of the major shipbuilding facilities in the region, has signed a contract with Emirates Dredging Company (EDC), another local Abu Dhabi company, to supply one 19 m work boat (Multi-cat 1908) and one 12 m tug (Pushy-cat 1204) as support vessels for their dredging operations.

Both vessels are designed by ADSB?s Strategic Partner, DAMEN Shipyards of the Netherlands, and will be built and delivered during 2006. This contract adds to the growing list of jobs secured by ADSB which now stands at over $540 million.
