Two Ulstein PSVs to be built in China for Golden Energy

The contract includes an option for two more similar ships, with the two confirmed vessels due for delivery from the yard in the first and second quarters of 2016.

For the Golden Energy PSVs, the standard Ulstein design has been modified to provide an extra deck. The ships are of 83.4m length, 18m beam, 4,000dwt and will be DP2 and FiFi equipped. Cargo deck area will be about 850m² with corresponding under-deck tanks, and accommodation for 390 persons. They will be prepared for installation of a 67t AHC crane and an ROV mezzanine deck, which means the vessels can be reconfigured for IMR, ROV support, trenching and light subsea construction work. They will be classed by DNV and built to the IMO SPS Code.

In addition to design, Ulstein delivers a significant package including equipment, supervision, commissioning and testing, which has been instrumental and a condition for us to enter into this series of vessels. There is other Norwegian equipment on-board including the accommodation interior package, delivered in accordance with Norwegian standards.”
