UECC and Daphne Technology partner on new emissions monitoring technology

The PureMetrics™ system will provide real-time emissions data, positioning UECC to exceed regulatory standards and support a more sustainable supply chain.

PureMetrics™ is set for installation on UECC’s Auto Aspire in early 2025. The system will monitor emissions from the 2022-built vehicle carrier’s three-engine setup, which includes one main engine and two auxiliary engines. By delivering precise emissions data, PureMetrics™ will help UECC meet the automotive industry’s environmental targets and fulfill European Union Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) reporting obligations. This data will allow UECC to enhance operational efficiency and emissions reductions in response to regulatory and market demands.

Dr. Mario Michan, CEO & founder of Daphne Technology, emphasised the significance of the partnership, stating: “Reducing emissions is essential to minimising the environmental impact of maritime transport, especially under EU ETS regulations. Through this collaboration, UECC can establish emissions baselines and make informed, data-driven adjustments to optimise vessel performance, enhancing compliance with stringent regulatory standards while solidifying its competitive advantage in European ports.
