Vard survey vessel for Kazakhstan
The vessel will be built at Vard Braila shipyard in Romania, which has also been used over the past few years to build five icebreaking tugs for CMI.
Roy Reite, CEO and executive director, Vard, said: “We look forward to building yet another vessel for Circle Maritime Invest JSC.”
“This new contract gives evidence of the good relationship we have with our customer in Kazakhstan. Together with CMI, we are excited to follow the development of the offshore activity in the Caspian Sea,” he added.
The vessel will have a total length of 46m and a beam of 13m and will have the ability to accommodate 22 persons.
Through its subsidiary, Caspian Offshore Construction, CMI will operate the new survey vessel in the Caspian Sea.
