Veder seals LNG order

Dutch shipowner Anthony Veder has ordered its first LNG tanker. Using a relatively small ship, the Rotterdam-based shipping company wants to provide a regional LNG feeder service from the large import terminals.

The 7,500-cbm ship has been ordered on the back of a long-term contract with Norwegian LNG distributor Gasnor. The shipowner did not disclose where the ship would be built or its scheduled date of delivery.
