Veripos extends Brazilian DGPS

Veripos has extended its Brazilian Inmarsat Differential GPS service for offshore use with the introduction of a complementary HF service via a new reference station at Sao Tome. The company says this provides users with enhanced options and reliability, as well as increased resistance to sunspot activity. The station will cover the Campos Basin region over ranges in excess of 500km with positional accuracy of between 1m and 3m, says Veripos.
