It is expected to generate total sales of over £500 million ($800 million) per year from four business areas: propulsion; engines; deck machinery; and marine technology/global support.

Most of the well known names such as Kamewa, Aquamaster, and Ulstein Frydenbo are in the propulsion group while Bergen Engines and Ulstein Turbine come under engines. Ulstein Ship Technology is grouped with the sales and service support sections.

Vickers Ulstein aims to offer technically advanced products and has adopted a system whereby a customer deals with a single account manager for all transactions.
