Vietnam gets new coastguard vessel
The Defense Ministry?s Song Thu shipbuilding company in Vietnam launched the country?s largest-ever rescue vessel in Danang city to strengthen rescue work in Vietnam?s central coastal areas. The 3500 DWT coastguard vessel, the ?Vietnam Sea Marshal?, is equipped with state-of-the-art propulsion system, a decompression compartment for divers, and other essential rescue equipment.
With the new vessel, Vietnam is set to join forces with its neighboring countries in order to intensify rescue operations in the regional waters.
