Vinashin goes with Hempel

Hempel, the Danish paint manufacturer, and the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) have signed a Business Co-operation Agreement (BCA) making Hempel the preferred supplier to all Vinashin’s newbuilding projects. The agreement will be managed by SHIMEX (Ship Materials Import Export Company) a business unit of Vinashin.

The agreement means Hempel is well poised to develop sales activities with customers in the north of Vietnam, in both the newbuilding and ship repair segments. Hempel has a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City in the south of the country and two stock points – in Ho Chi Minh and at Hai Phong in the north.
