Vinashin lands Danish job

Fabricius BR Marine in Denmark has inked its first shipbuilding contract with Vietnam?s shipbuilder Vinashin. Fabricius and Vinashin signed a $5 million deal to construct a 2,500 DWT vessel of an unspecified type. The 1,600-HP and 67-metre-long vessel will be delivered in early 2007.

In addition, Fabricius is negotiating a “big project” with Vinashin with a total value of around $120 million for six medium-sized vessels of “new design and high speed”.
