Voith powers Taiwan tugs

Two Voith Water Tractors (VWT) have been ordered by Taiwan Navigation for use as escort vessels in the port of Taichung in Taiwan. The port entrance is particularly narrow and the new tugs will be used to escort LNG carriers safely to the newly constructed terminal. Each of the two VWTs will be fitted with two Voith Schneider propellers size 28R5/234-2 supplied by Voith Turbo Marine.
