Volkswerft Stralsund to be sold off

AP Moller Maersk is in the process of selling German shipyard Volkswerft Stralsund, which is owned by its subsidiary Lindo. According to Borsen, Lindo’s chief executive Finn Buus Nielsen said it is not impossible that Germany’s Hegemann-Gruppe may buy the shipyard, but no concrete divestment plans exist.

“We consider the possibility of a cooperation to strengthen the shipbuilding and to reach certain synergies, but what this will lead to in the end we do not know,” Buus Nielsen said.
