Wärtsilä introduces asset performance guarantee

The new Lifecycle solutions, which also include an optimised operations concept, complement the Genius real-time optimisation services launched in November.

Under the guaranteed asset performance agreement, targets for factors such as availability, reliability and fuel consumption are determined based on measured data. The package employs automated key performance measurement, optimised maintenance (see below) and remote advisory services.

Tage Klockars, general manager, marine service agreements, explained: “Wärtsilä Genius services change online data into real-time onboard advisory and smart backoffice analytics that, in turn, can be refined into performance-improving advice about the asset operation. What we can measure, we can optimise and guarantee.”

Optimised operations agreements offer real-time monitoring and advisory services intended to maximise efficiency. The solution provides a ship energy efficiency management plan (SEEMP) that follows the IMO guidelines. Onboard advisory services include monitoring hull performance and engine condition monitoring, as well as vessel audits and component condition evaluation.

The new optimised maintenance concept involves planning and scheduling maintenance procedures to improve cost predictability and uptime. A remote operational and technical advisory service is also offered.
