Westfalia launches larger capacity unit
Westfalia Separator has launched a marine separator for vessels requiring separation capacities of up to 2,200l/h. Called the OTC3 it is designed to replace oil and fuel filters in small ships such as fishing vessels, luxury yachts, pilot cutters and small naval vessels. The unit uses stainless steel disks which allows it to separate at temperatures up to 100oC making it capable of cleaning lubrication oils at full operating temperature, says Westfalia. Routine maintenance is required every 8,000 hours with major servicing after 16,000 hours. Features include flexible hose connections, so that the hood can be removed for routine maintenance, rubber mountings and modular design to allow a range of heating and pumping units to be attached to suit each application.
