Wilh. Wilhelmsen orders PCTC trio

Norwegian shipping group, Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA, has entered into a contract with Ray Shipping regarding the charter of 3 car carrier newbuildings on a 15 year time charter with options. The newly contracted vessels, which have a car carrying capacity of 6,500 units, will be delivered during 2006. The vessels will be built at Gdynia Shipyard in Poland and will be employed in Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines. A company statement said that the negotiations had been ?lengthy? and it added that the agreed T/C hire will reflect a price per vessel of just under $55m charter of 3 car carriers on a 15 year time charter with options.
