Work at Gisan suspended

The activities of Gisan Shipyard in Tuzla district of Istanbul were suspended after three workers died in an accident. Labour & Social Security Ministry Istanbul Department’s Commission decided to suspend the activities of Gisan for 20 days.

Three workers died and 12 others were wounded in an accident at the yard on 11 August. 61 workers have died due to various accidents at Tuzla shipyards zone since 2000.
